Pharmacy Director January 3rd, 2012


Description: The Director of Pharmacy is responsible for overseeing all medication storage and preparation in the hospital. The Director of Pharmacy ensures that the pharmacy provides optimal services; meets all legal, accreditation, and certification requirements; and complies with all applicable policies, procedures, codes, and standards of the organization. The director facilitates the development, implementation, and maintenance of systems that promote desirable patient outcomes through the use of safe, cost-effective drug therapies.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of three years demonstrated management ability required.
  • Considerable knowledge of professional pharmacy theory, principles and practices.
  • Superior knowledge of supervisory and management techniques as applied to clinical pharmacy programs.
  • Post-graduate program leading to M.S. or Pharm. D. Degree desirable.
  • Licensure as a Registered Pharmacist by Oregon State Board of Pharmacy or willingness to go through the process of obtaining OR Rph license.
  • Three years acute care hospital experience required.

Analytical skills to work with budgets, reports, technical administrative questions. Must have excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and critical thinking skills. Ability to work in a detail-oriented environment while handling multiple priorities required.  Bachelors Degree in Pharmacy required. Master’s Degree/Doctorate Degree preferred. Minimum 3 years of management experience in an acute care setting.  Montana license to practice pharmacy is active and clear OR willingness to go through the licensing process to obtain Montana Rph license.

Oncology Clinical Pharmacist Coordinator December 20th, 2011

c.       Qualifications: Licensed as a Pharmacist in the State of Wisconsin OR willing to go through the process of obtaining one. Doctor of Pharmacy Degree preferred. National certification in pharmacotherapy, or one of the other clinical specialties, by the Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties (BPS) and/or completion of an ASHP approved residency preferred. Oncology background/experience preferred.  Minimum of 3 years experience as a clinical pharmacist in a hospital department with a strong clinical/oncology pharmacy program. Administrative/supervisory experience preferred. Excellent communication skills in one on one and group settings and ability to work cooperatively with persons at all levels within the organization.
